Wettermark Keith is seeking a dependable, organized, and service-oriented Mail Clerk to support the daily operations of the firm. This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail, providing receptionist coverage as needed, and serving as an office runner to support attorneys and staff across departments.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, professional in appearance and demeanor, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment.

This is a full-time, in-person position in our Birmingham office. Compensation for the position includes a competitive hourly salary and benefits.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Prepare and process outgoing mail, overnight deliveries, and courier shipments.
  • Maintain mailroom supplies and equipment.

Receptionist Coverage:

  • Serve as backup receptionist during breaks, lunches, meetings, and employee absences.
  • Greet clients, guests, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.

Office Runner & Administrative Support:

  • Deliver documents, files, and supplies throughout the office.
  • Coordinate local deliveries and pickups as needed.
  • Support filing, scanning, copying, and document preparation projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
