Are you an experienced fundraising professional looking for an opportunity to apply your skills and make an immediate impact?

The International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) Graduate School, located in Bethlehem, PA, is seeking a Director of Development. This is a full-time, hybrid position, Monday through Friday 8 am EST to 4:30 pm EST, with at least 20% of your time in-person.

The Director of Development works in the IIRP Graduate School's Communications Unit and will report directly to the Vice President for Strategy & Communication. The primary responsibilities are: leading and executing the IIRP's fundraising; support the institution by planning and executing fundraising strategies, implementing a donor program, researching and identifying funding opportunities, assisting in conference sponsorship package development, and overseeing of fundraising-related promotional materials.

The successful candidate for the Director of Development must show a strong skillset in creative thinking and problem solving, demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, while maintaining organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills. This individual must be able to travel as needed, estimated up to 10% of their time and be able to lift 20 pounds.

Required Qualifications/Experience

The Director of Development must have:

• Master's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of fundraising experience.
• Expertise in development/fundraising with a demonstrated track record of success in winning grant awards and obtaining donors for organizations comparable to the IIRP.
• Proven ability to manage fundraising programs, annual giving campaigns, soliciting major gifts, and meeting benchmarks with new donors.
• Strong skillset in creative thinking and problem solving.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team and independently.
• Willingness and ability to adapt and learn.
• Reliable internet and dedicated office space when working remotely.
• Knowledge and proven experience of utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Exceptional supervisory and communication skills, with a dedication to continual improvement.
• Proven ability to be highly organized, with attention to detail/accuracy and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a management team.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

The Director of Development will excel if they have:

• Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) certification.
• Previous management experience.
