Job Description

Create lesson plans for daily activities in line with the school curriculum.
Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
Establish a nurturing relationship with the children and serve as a positive role model.
Establish, teach and consistently enforce rules of behavior for children in the classroom and school wide.
Supervise and provide for the basic needs of the children.
Ensure the classroom and facility is kept in a clean, neat and safe condition at all times.
Be responsible for equipment and supplies in your classroom.
Be responsible for maintaining bulletin boards to reflect current themes and topics.
Keep current log of attendance and daily activities for the children assigned to you.
Communicate with parents regarding child development and progress.
Maintain a positive working relationship with parents and staff members.
Collaborate with other staff members regarding lesson plans, programs, school activities, etc.
Instruct, assign and assist assistants and aides in daily preparation work for your classroom.
Complete other duties and tasks assigned by the Preschool Director.
Be a team player, support all school wide activities, including volunteer days and fundraisers.
Reports directly to the Preschool Director.
