Shop Production Coordinator (Dispatcher)

Job Summary:
The Shop Production Coordinator at Lookout Ford is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the shop production process. This individual will work closely with the service technicians and parts departments to ensure efficient and timely completion of all repair and maintenance services. This is a full-time, commission based position in the auto service center located in Morehead City, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills who is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.

This position offers a highly competitive compensation structure with semi-monthly pay cycles. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the shop production team of service technicians.
- Manage the scheduling of repairs and maintenance services to ensure timely completion while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and review technician workload and productivity to ensure optimal efficiency..
- Collaborate with the service and parts departments to order necessary parts and supplies for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of repairs, parts used, and time spent on each service.
- Ensure the shop production area is organized, safe, and compliant with all company and industry regulations.
- Train and mentor new technicians on company procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as either a service advisor or technician (dealership experience preferred but not absolutely necessary).
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer software programs including Microsoft Office and automotive industry-specific software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
