Small Group Benefits Account Manager

Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of a Small Group Benefits Account Manager is to serve as the main point of contact for these clients, providing personalized service, addressing their insurance requirements, and ensuring client satisfaction. This position will report to the Benefits Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for assisting Producers with their accounts and servicing their book of business.
• Provide excellent support to the Producers and Insureds.
• Evaluate, recommend, and explain coverage, as well as present strategies/solutions to support clients’ benefits programs or needs.
• Review applications for accuracy, thoroughness, and completeness.
• May attend open enrollment meetings with clients.
• Develop and maintain respectful relationships with Producers, Insureds and Prospects.
• Manage insurers, carrier and vendor expectations and resolution of day-to-day activities.
• Prioritize and independently manage workload to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate administration of established workflows.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• A current Illinois Life & Health Insurance License
• Minimum of 2 years of employee benefits experience
• Strong understanding of the small group employee benefits marketplace and the industry
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong attention to detail and the ability the multi-task
• Strong follow up skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel
• Applied Epic preferred; will consider experience with other Agency Management Systems

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm; Hybrid Work Schedule
