Job Description

Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, Client Delivery Manager oversees all end-to-end pharmacy operations with a dedicated focus on an assigned pharmacy client. This manager will directly support the pharmacy client with issues concerning pharmacy process, inventory exceptions, and timely patient delivery including escalations requiring expedited processing and delivery. This manager will have full accountability for the client’s pharmacy process and will direct other staff as necessary in cooperation with other pharmacy management personnel. The manager will work closely with internal teams to facilitate process improvement and facilitate modification to existing, or creation of additional, standard operating procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute pharmacy standard operating procedures as it pertains to inventory management, prescription intake, order entry, item entry, fulfillment, packing, shipping, and all process exceptions
  • Ensuring client orders achieve desired service levels and take corrective action, as needed
  • Effectively communicate information to the client in an open and timely manner
  • Handle pharmacy service-related complaints and concerns in accordance with company policy and promote a positive customer experience
  • Responsible for driving the process excellence program to gain tangible business results and improvements in areas such as productivity, production output, customer satisfaction, quality, and safety
  • Assisting other management team members in identifying trends and establishing performance metric goals
  • Actively contributes to the strategic planning and achievement of departmental goals and objectives, attending pertinent meetings when necessary
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA
  • Cooperates in the documentation and resolution of customer service-related issues
  • Contributes to and supports an atmosphere of effective teamwork and coordination
  • Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (or must obtain within 6 months of employment), in good standing
  • Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • Two years in a supervisory role
  • Client facing experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products including, Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as pharmacy and inventory management systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once
  • Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously
  • Ability to present feedback and process ideas to clients and internal teams
  • Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management
  • Work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This position is in a pharmacy operations environment which requires prolonged standing and walking of operations floor. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
