Salary: $20 - $24 Hourly/DOE

Job Summary

As a Shipping Technician at AmeriPharma, you will be responsible for assisting with coordinating and shipping products to patients. This includes following-up with FedEx/Courier shipped packages, and quality assurance during the shipping process, and adherence to standard operating procedures.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create shipping labels with delivery ticket number and date of fill and insures proper packages (fridge or pumps)
  • Labels packages accurately
  • Email and text message tracking numbers to patients through courier website
  • Verifies that deliveries are sent to states the pharmacy is currently licensed in
  • Ensures packages are picked up by the correct courier
  • Checks for shipping delays from couriers for the shipping Coordinator
  • Operates postal scales and meters
  • Order shipping supplies monthly
  • Reports ticket time frame and note concerns to shipping supervisor
  • Reports shipping issues such as delay discoveries, courier mistakes, and out of state licensing issues to shipping supervisor


Required Qualifications 

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong pharmacy and medical benefits knowledge
  • Familiar prior authorization requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Superior interpersonal effectiveness, telephone customer service and relationship building skills
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge in various Microsoft programs including word, excel and outlook
  • Ability to work well under pressure at times and multi-task daily
  • Self-motivated, quick learner and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Capable of maintaining a flexible availability
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to daily inventory and distribution processes
  • Requires the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Must have basic typing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and to manage time efficiently
  • Must be able to lift 50-70 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk and lift for several hours at a time


Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Shipping Experience 


Schedule Details

  • In-Person (Orange, Ca.) 
  • Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
