The recruiter is responsible for the marketing, recruiting, and hiring function for assigned location(s), including new start-up cities, seasonal hiring, and troubled cities. The recruiter also maintains the website postings, external and internal postings, including electronic advertising, career fairs, Applicant screening, and compliance screening, including drug testing.
What does a Recruiter do?
- Organize, coordinate, and host hiring events.
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges, etc.
- Source and recruit candidates using databases, social media, etc.
- Screen candidate’s resumes and job applications
- Conduct interviews using reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
- Initiate pre-employment processes with new employees
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
- Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
- Promote the company’s reputation as the “best workplace.”
- Partner with leadership teams to identify target skill sets, markets, and critical openings to plan an individualized approach to reach and engage with many candidates
- Manage multiple programs and projects related to long-term talent acquisition strategies and focus areas, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion recruiting, vendor engagements, and partner organizations
- Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting for multiple airport locations simultaneously
- Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Perform other duties as requested
What skills are required to Join the Team?
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of high-volume multi-state recruiting experience is required
- Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
- Able and comfortable approaching potential applicants in the market
- Strong proficiency in computer programs and applications, experience in various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Strong communication skills and ability to utilize multiple formats of communication (email, phone, text, in-person)
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
- Must have a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Must work a flexible schedule, some nights and weekends
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
Language Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks
- Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills

- Bachelor’s Degree
