A highly motivated professional who combines marketing, business relationship, strategic planning and interpersonal skills to improve the quantity and quality of the business base for ShurMed EMS.

The Director of Business Development reports to the CEO. They oversee marketing staff and budget as designated by the CEO.

The Director of Business Development is a salaried, exempt position. Hours of work vary as needed to accomplish the goals of the organization, however, a minimum of 40 hours per week is required.

Essential job functions include:

  • Develop an effective and efficient marketing and business development strategy in cooperation with and under the direction of the CEO. The strategy will be directly linked to the business plan of ShurMed EMS and will enable ShurMed EMS to meet or exceed its sales goals as measured on a quarterly basis. The Director of Business Development will constantly review and revise, with the input of the CEO, the marketing and business development strategy to ensure continued effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Implement the strategy by direct efforts in the market and by overseeing and coordinating the activities of other marketing staff, as designated by the CEO.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all key supervisors and managers within ShurMed EMS, especially the Director of Operations and Communications Manager.

  • Coordinate and oversee the activities of other marketing staff in an effective and efficient manner to ensure that their efforts further the strategy.

  • Develop and implement, with the assistance of the Director of Operations and Communications Manager, marketing and customer service training programs for field and communications staff, as well as other marketing personnel.

  • Develop effective promotional documents and other media describing our services.

  • Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows to further our strategy.

  • Frequently consult with our customers to determine needs, concerns and challenges and integrate that information into the regular review and update of our strategy and tact

  • Manage the marketing and business development budget as established by the CEO.

  • Gather and regularly update customer and market data, using a wide variety of sources, to ensure a current and accurate market “map” against which to develop strategy and tactics.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the event of a special need, complaint or challenge. The Director of Business Development shall have the authority to offer discounts, charge-offs or other appropriate adjustments to be determined by type of call.

  • Other duties as instructed.

Other Requirements:

  • Must use company vehicles when available. When company vehicles are not available, the employee must turn on location services on the company-issued issued phone.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year BASE PLUS
