Job Description

InfraHire is looking for a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC/Building Systems Design) in Pine Brook, NJ.

Job Description:

Take on a leadership role in project mechanical system design.
Coordinate, support, or lead project teams in mechanical design tasks.
Generate initial design concepts for new or existing structures and formulate detailed mechanical system plans.
Oversee or create comprehensive mechanical designs for building systems and HVAC, including producing reports, calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for junior engineers within the project team.
Assist in internal reviews, ensure quality standards, conduct building construction code analysis, and establish design criteria.
Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders for review purposes and during construction phases as necessary.
Direct or participate in field meetings, construction discussions, condition surveys, and the preparation of engineering documents.
Collaborate closely with architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; a Master's degree is preferred.
3-10 years or more of experience in HVAC and building mechanical systems design, including the preparation of drawings and specifications for HVAC systems in large commercial, institutional, and residential projects. Solid technical expertise in both simple and complex HVAC systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with REVIT. Experience providing engineering services during project construction.
Familiarity with New York and New Jersey Building Construction Codes, Standards, and their applications.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) credentials are preferred
