Mechanical Engineer
- Full-Time
The Mechanical Engineer evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrications, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of design software (Inventor, Solidworks, etc.)
• AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Minimum three (3) years of experience
Responsibilities:
• Design, recommend, and advise on manufacturing tools, fixtures, and fabrication equipment including repair and build
• Design for stamping dies, locating fixtures, and machining fixtures
• Provide trouble shooting of metal forming operations, including spinning, laser, hydroforming, and welding
• Create and maintain Process Inspection Records and inspection drawings of parts (PIRs)
• Develop manufacturing processes and improvements
• Assure product quality by developing robust processes, inspection methods, and tooling
• Contribute to quoting of new work through analyzing previous performance and developing process workflows
• Launch new programs and assist with tooling, equipment, and inspection trials and improvements
• Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects
