Job Description
The Community Service Society of New York (CSS) is an informed, independent, and unwavering voice for positive action on behalf of more than three million low-income New Yorkers. Our work bridges many subject areas and approaches, all with a concerted focus on addressing economic and racial disparities that stand in the way of opportunity and forward movement. We conduct incisive research on issues facing low-wage workers, rent-burdened tenants and Black and brown New Yorkers overpoliced at the subway turnstile; create and run innovative direct-service programs providing critical support to low-income individuals and families; work with and for New Yorkers with past criminal systems involvement in reentry and conviction records-related advocacy, litigation and rap sheet-related services; promote and ensure equitable access to healthcare across New York State; assist individuals facing student loan debt; and engage in a wide variety of other programs and projects aimed at reducing barriers to full participation in the life of this great city. CSS also regularly convenes the New York Reentry Roundtable, a gathering of directly impacted individuals, their families, advocates, and friends, to discuss and plan forward action on reentry-related policy matters.

CSS is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to assist the Information Technology Department with the following job duties:

Job Description:

  • Provide day-to-day support for client hardware and software issues pertaining to multiple devices such Windows PC, Apple products, and other mobile devices.
  • Respond, resolve, and document daily Help Desk tickets in our service desk environment.
  • Take ownerships of client issues and escalate to appropriate resources as necessary.
  • Create, document, and update processes to resolve issues and other helpdesk workflows.
  • Deliver front-end support for VoIP office phones.
  • Prioritize daily intake of tickets and project-related tasks.
  • Manage Active Directory accounts and access for clients as well as onboarding/offboarding of individuals.
  • Perform other duties and assigned projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 computers in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Office 365.
  • Proficient with hardware & software installation/troubleshooting.

Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000 annual salary depending on factors including experience and qualifications.
