We are a mid-size industry leader in the medical device manufacturing field (orthopedic instruments and implants) who currently has an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Machinist/Set Up/Operator (first shift) based in our facility in Elmwood Park, NJ. Primary duties include:
Produces manufactured quality parts.
- Performs setup
- Sets up jobs in accordance with layouts provided. Processes work orders/completes the machining process. Interfaces with inspection regarding first-piece inspection.
- Verifies correct manufacture of parts by utilizing measuring instruments (micrometers, depth micrometers, verniers).
Requirements include:
High School degree preferred; or equivalent related work experience.
Five years of hands-on, manufacturing process experience required.
Experience in identifying tooling, along with the appropriate operating.
