Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (5–6 bullets):

  1. **Perform full CNC Swiss machine setups

    **, including tooling, offsets, materials, and verification of part alignment and readiness.

  2. **Operate and adjust Swiss machines

    ** to maintain part quality, making necessary tooling and offset corrections to hold tight tolerances.

  3. **Perform in-process inspections

    ** using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and/or vision systems, documenting results accurately.

  4. **Troubleshoot routine machining and tooling issues

    **, escalating complex issues to senior machinists or engineering as needed.

  5. **Support production efficiency initiatives

    **, including workflow improvements, minor preventative maintenance, and adherence to established processes.

  6. **Collaborate with team leads and senior machinists

    ** to ensure smooth production flow and continuous improvement in setup and machining practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • **Required:

    ** Minimum 5+ years of CNC Swiss machining experience.

  • **Required:

    ** Proven ability to perform complete machine setups on Swiss-type CNC equipment.

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and working with tight tolerances.

  • Familiarity with editing CNC programs (ESPRIT experience a plus, but not required).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
