- Use appropriate machine tools and workholding methods to ensure efficient, repeatable, and accurate machining operations.
- Perform in-process and final inspections of parts to verify they meet required tolerances, dimensions, and surface finishes in accordance with customer and internal specifications.
- Interpret and read blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining operations, sequence of operations, and inspection requirements.
- Support the maintenance and basic troubleshooting of CNC Swiss machines to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with team members and department leadership to adjust and accommodate changes in the production schedule.
- Identify material, technical, production, and safety issues that may impact the manufacturing schedule and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate department leadership.
- Apply knowledge of metals and their properties to select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and processes for efficient and high-quality machining.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions and ensure consistent quality.
- Follow and support FDA and ISO standards, procedures, and documentation requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized work area and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and on-the-job training to enhance machining skills and process efficiency.
Essential Skills
