Chargeback Analyst

Responsible for investigating disputed credit and/or debit card transactions and then taking suitable action to resolve those disputes, including processing refunds and/or debits to cardholders or merchants or writing off transactions. The work involves researching credit and/or debit card transactions to determine if purchases actually occurred.

JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
Investigate disputed credit and/or debit card transactions.
Take suitable action to resolve disputes, including processing refunds and/or debits to cardholders or merchants.
Writing off transactions.
Communicate findings to consumers and merchants.
Be on the lookout for fraud, reporting any and all suspected cases to the Risk Department.
From time to time, may have to work weekends and holidays due to the nature of the business.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's Degree.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Good analytical and decision-making skills.
Good documentation and organizational skills.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree.
Experience researching credit and/or debit card transactions to determine if purchases actually occurred.
Experience working for a credit card company or merchants that issue their own credit cards.
Familiarity with chargeback rules and regulations.
