Salted Edge Modern Kitchen + Bar on the water located at West Shores 110 S 243rd St in Waterloo NE, is in search of a creative & edgy Server, full-time or part-time, to team up with us in our lake-life atmosphere.

Our executive management & restaurant operations team has over 141+ years of collective experience that we rely upon as we stay dedicated to creating an educated, motivated, and inspired TEAM of employees.

In this position, the Server is the direct representative of the front-of-house functions in the restaurant. Your demonstration of quality service & genuine hospitality welcoming our guests, setting the stage, and delivering an exceptional dining experience in accordance with our Sequence of Service Standards is highly influential as we strive exceed guests’ expectations.

Server Responsibilities:

• Enjoy working in our lake-life atmosphere, act as a brand ambassador, and have fun!
• Follow & execute the Salted Edge Sequence of Service Standards
• Act as a verbal menu demonstrating a high level of food & beverage knowledge
• Learn & describe menu items & chef specials for the guests
• Have an understanding of wine service & wine parings
• Inform managers of any special accommodations such as specific food allergies
• Serve and clear food & beverage pairings in a timely manner
• Process payments / enter orders into the POS system / support fellow teammates / participate in all assigned pre & post-shift tasks

Server Qualifications:

• Must be at least 19 years of age
• 1-2 years server experience in a full-service fine dining or high-volume setting
• Understand the importance of consistency and care & must be engaging
• Personable and passionate for the art of hospitality while thriving in a team atmosphere
• General understanding of food, liquor, wine, and beer - constantly striving to learn more
• Understand & explain cooking techniques & menu items to our guests
• Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays and has a reliable mode of transportation
• Strong communication & organization skills, proficient time management & multitasking
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced atmosphere
