Interim Chief Financial Officer – temporary – San Rafael
Highly respected non-profit organization in San Rafael has an immediate need for an interim CFO to guide their accounting team. As part of the executive management team, you will provide fiscal leadership to the organization at large, including program staff and the Board of Directors. Prior experience in a non-profit leadership role is essential.
Interim CFO functions include, but not limited to:
- Financial modelling, forecasting and strategic analysis
- Lead all financial management functions, including budgeting, analysis, planning and reporting
- Develop annual operating, capital and cash flow budgets
- Contract and grant preparation; RFP proposal budgets; Oversee contract and grant financial reporting processes
- timely and accurate monthly and year-end financial reports, analyses of performance against budget
- Prepare annual financial statements, supervise the audit of financial statements
- Review investment portfolio, maintain compliance with investment policies
- Manage the finance and accounting staff
- Actively manage the cash position and A/P and A/R cash flows
Interim CFO qualifications:
- 5 + years of progressive responsibility in a non-profit accounting setting
- MBA or CPA highly preferred
- Experience with implementing enterprise accounting financial modelling packages
- Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, CRM and project management tools
- Proven track record in financial budgeting, controls and planning
- This is an onsite role – must be local to the Bay Area
