Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Job Classification: Full Time, Salaried, Exempt 1 Salary: $85k - $100k, based on experienced Job Description: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mission: To guide those aging out of foster care and other vulnerable youth for successful transition to independence through housing, education, employment, and system of care coordination. Our vision is that no youth travels the road to adulthood alone. FLITE Center Overview: FLITE Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth transitioning out of foster care and other vulnerable populations by providing comprehensive support services, resources, and guidance. Job Summary: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at FLITE Center will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's daily operations to ensure smooth functioning and the achievement of strategic goals. The COO will optimize our company's operating capabilities, employ strategies to maximize client success rate, and manage new process initiatives. The COO will be work alongside the CEO and Director of Finance to employ strategies to safeguard agency assets. The COO will compile operational reports, and control operational policies and procedures. The COO will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other senior leaders to develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures that align with FLITE Center's mission and objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the efficient and effective operation of FLITE Center's programs and services. • Financial Management: Oversee grant expenditures, invoicing and financial management to ensure the organization's efficiency, financial health and sustainability. • Program Management: Work closely with Chief Programs Officer and program coordinators to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services that meet the needs of FLITE Center's clients. • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure the safety and security of FLITE Center's clients, staff, and resources. • Collaboration: Build and maintain effective partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and funders. • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies and procedures. • Reporting: Prepare regular reports for the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders on FLITE Center's operational performance and outcomes.
