Senior Superintendent

Brayman Construction Corporation in Saxonburg, PA is actively seeking a full-time Senior Superintendent to lead construction projects, manage and oversee all project work plans and progress for projects assigned.

This Senior Superintendent position earns a competitive salary. This is a full-time position that will require you to work a varied schedule based on the project and the ability to travel on a regular basis.

SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works closely with regional Construction/General Manager to develop strategic growth plans, yearly budgets, equipment purchase plans, employee capacity and monitors the results of these overall plans
• Leads the Superintendents within assigned region performing all types of general contracting work; including specialty foundations, concrete, bridge/structures, shoring, excavation, drainage and utilities
• Helps develop schedules/work plans and productions during the bidding process as well as develop and monitor work plans and productions in the field after project award
• Oversees/coordinates the hiring/movement schedules of operational employees and equipment within the region assigned
• Makes periodic site visits to ensure compliance with safety plans, work plans and project specifications and to monitor the performance of craft employees

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT

• 10+ years of heavy civil and/or foundation construction experience with large diameter caisson experience (cut-off walls/secant piles)
• Experience managing several heavy civil construction projects, preferably structure related, simultaneously or a large complex heavy civil project with multiple trades and numerous craft persons a must.
• Additional experience with federal/state/DOT contracts, specifications, reports and records is required
• Experience with trade supervision, including performance assessments is required
• OSHA 30 hour certification is required
• Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans
• Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances.
