Job Summary
The HL7 Support Analyst I is a key position of the Integration Team. This position is responsible for receiving RIS internal interface assistance requests. The incumbent will be the first level of interaction for the interface support; conducting assessment of said requests with the expectation of providing either a resolution or facilitating additional resources to address the issue, prioritizing expediency, and efficiency.
Job Objectives
- Establishes and maintains positive peer, leadership, and customer relationship, interacting positively and productively with teams across organizational lines
- Works with project manager and teams in implementation of new systems, system upgrades and enhancement of current system functionality, participation in any phase of large or small projects
- Monitor production feeds for alerts and manage incoming HL7 service inquiries
- Add or request additional description of issues, as needed for service request
- Assist with coordination of resources to arrive at a resolution of service request
- Utilizes the RIS ticketing system for documentation all troubleshooting, education, or work efforts
- Proactively assess and identify areas of improvement for planning and mitigation commencement
- Maintains professional skills and stays informed of changes in the healthcare industry, regulations, vendor technology and the impacts on assigned systems/integrations.
- Reports and takes direction from the HL7 lead and Director of Informatics
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- College degree (AS, B.A., B.S.) in a field of study such as information sciences or a healthcare related fields is required, or 2 – 4 years commiserate experience in a healthcare IT related field, radiology or interventional radiology specialty experience preferred
- One of the following certifications is preferred:
- HL7 Version 2
- HL7 Version 3
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation capabilities in customer interactions and technical discussion is required
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues and challenges
- Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to changes in schedules, locations (remote vs. onsite) and priorities, working on multiple projects/issues concurrently; may be required
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and patients and the ability to work independently
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
- Normal hand eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish letters and symbols
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds
- Clarity of vision at close distances (20 inches or less) and far distances (20ft or more)
