Job Description

As a Process Engineering intern at Burrow Global you will support and actively participate in various projects. This role involves assisting in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria under supervision. The intern will work as part of a design team to develop preliminary or detailed engineering and procurement packages for clients in the Oil, Gas, and Chemical industries or other industrial facilities.

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Process Engineering within the industrial sector under the guidance of experienced professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:

• Assist in making decisions on engineering problems and methods under supervision.
• Support standard techniques and procedures, seeking guidance as needed.
• Consult with supervisors and peers concerning problems and developments, documenting risks and technical details.
• Collaborate with the lead process engineer to develop process designs and associated deliverables.
• Aid in planning, developing, and coordinating engineering and design projects.
• Assist in carrying out assignments requiring the development of new techniques and procedures.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of plans and criteria for projects.
• Support staff engineers and other professionals' supervision, coordination, and work review.
• Aid in workload management, budgeting, and resource planning for projects.
• Interact with drafting/design team members to ensure alignment of scope and specifications.
• Assist in preparing engineering sketches, performing calculations, and developing analysis models.
• Adhere to company quality standards and follow engineering approval procedures.
• Comply with all company and client health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
• Participate in hazard identification programs and report any unsafe acts or conditions.
• Assist in site evaluations and project requirement assessments.
• Assist in managing client relationships to support Project Managers.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical engineering or related discipline.
• Currently classified at college as a junior, or senior.
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to organize and contribute to project completion.
Additional Information:
• This internship is based in our office in Beaumont, TX or Deer Park, Texas.
• No relocation assistance or per diem is available for this position.
