Job Description
Are you an excellent attorney with a passion for amazing client services?  Do you have experience running your own cases, either on a transactional or litigation side?  We are currently seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join our team and build your practice as you contribute to our company's mission of supporting our local community by empowering local business owners.  The senior attorney roles we are currently looking to fill include:

Successful candidates are highly organized, proactive, and communicative.  They work their case loads proactively to elevate their service to their clients and their community.  They have at least 5 years' experience in areas relating to business law, either transactional or litigation or both.  They have run several dozen matters from start to finish without supervision.  If you're looking to join our litigation team, you've sat first chair in at least 2 trials, and solo-argued at least several motions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clients with an elevated legal experience, including superior legal advice and quick, responsive service.
  • Manage your team to ensure your assigned matters are moving forward, efficiently and successfully.
  • Develop legal strategies and arguments for your clients (including creative strategies where warranted) and work with members of your team to implement them.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and other members of our internal community to elevate them to higher levels.
  • Build community by originating high-quality, locally-based clients to grow your practice and our firm as a whole.
  • Attend networking events as directed by the firm, which may be before or after hours.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Be licensed to practice law in the states of Idaho and Washington, or able to obtain licensure within 30 days of hire.
  • Have no state bar disciplinary history in any jurisdiction.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience as an attorney in the areas of: 
    • Business Law
    • Commercial Litigation
    • Landlord/Tenant Law
    • Mergers & Acquisitions
    • Commercial Real Estate
    • Construction
    • Business Formations
    • Business Tax Law
    • Employment Law
  • Have successfully managed and concluded, as the primary and responsible attorney on the case and without supervision, at least several dozen matters/cases.  For those applying for a commercial litigation position, in addition, have sat first chair in at least 2 trials and solo-argued several motions.
  • Bring or be willing and able to quickly develop a book of business, focusing on areas the firm is not already specifically serving.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.

  • Understand how to manage a legal team.
  • Demonstrate superior client service skills.
Perks and Benefits:
  • This is a hybrid position.  We require our teammates to attend a weekly co-working sessions at our office each Tuesday morning, and otherwise our team generally works from home or other location of their choice (subject to ethics rules regarding privacy and security, of course).
  • Competitive salary and compensation package.  Starting salaries range from $100K-$120K per year, plus shares of billings and originations.
