Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Global Consolidations, the Senior Accountant will assist with the Company’s global consolidation and accounting close process. You will work closely with the SEC Reporting and Global Finance teams to produce the global consolidation. You will also be responsible for providing accurate, general accounting services, including overseeing journal entries; assisting in the development of documented policies, procedures and controls; and recommending or implementing steps to improve processes.

Under the direction of the Manager, Global Consolidations, the Senior Accountant will assist with the Company’s global consolidation and accounting close process. You will work closely with the SEC Reporting and Global Finance teams to produce the global consolidation. You will also be responsible for providing accurate, general accounting services, including overseeing journal entries; assisting in the development of documented policies, procedures and controls; and recommending or implementing steps to improve processes.

Responsibilities
- Perform the monthly financial statement consolidation process, including foreign currency measurement, transfer pricing, translation, and allocations
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with global teams to understand and consolidate financial results
- Responsible for general ledger and chart of accounts set up and maintenance
- Review account roll ups and classifications to ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP and internal reporting requirements
- Collaborate across our global organization to develop financial information and analysis supporting internal and external reporting needs
- Assist with global systems implementations
- Support the audit process working closely with external auditors
- Leverage technology to build scalable/sustainable processes to create efficiencies, streamline accounting operations and improve employee experience
- Perform month-end close procedures, including financial statement preparation and cash reconciliations, as well as recording income/expense accruals inter-company transactions, and analytical reviews.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum 4 years of related accounting experience required;
- Proficiency in US GAAP or IFRS
- Prior experience with real estate accounting
- Experience with Yardi, SAP, or similar Real Estate or Accounting ERP
- Desire to learn new technologies
- Thrives in a fast-paced and continuously developing environment
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, communication and collaboration in a team environment
- Self-starter with superior analytical skills; a problem solver with an astute attention to detail
- Possesses good judgment, honesty, and utmost integrity
