Job Description

The Compliance Coordinator is primarily responsible for assigning, tracking and maintaining overall compliance related drug and alcohol procedures, reporting, training and certifications, with a focus on industry and client regulations and requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Coordinates client requirement with appropriate internal personnel to ensure responsive and acceptable compliance standards and policies.
  2. Act as primary Learning Management System administrator and training administrator.
  3. Assist and coordinate Operator Qualification training assignments.
  4. Timely preparation and maintenance of compliance reports, databases, memos, and control metrics.
  5. Assist with developing and maintaining company compliance/ EHS policies and procedures.
  6. Assist with coordinating Inspector Drug and Alcohol program.
  7. Maintains Drug and Alcohol records, monitors results and submits quarterly and annual drug testing for Inspectors.
  8. Submit employee motor vehicle reports and background checks, when required.
  9. Respond to employee, peer, departmental and client inquiries via phone and email.
  10. Collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, Safety and other various internal departments to resolve employee compliance issues.
  11. Research, review and interpret customer compliance related requirements to ensure overall understanding and adherence.
  12. Provide timely and thorough updates to project manager/project team on specific areas of responsibilities within current projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years previous Drug and Alcohol and Operator Qualifications experience preferred.
  • Previous pipeline experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate across functional lines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Productive work habits including attention to detail, follow through and the ability to prioritize and complete work activities in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Basic understanding of project management techniques/methodologies
  • Self-thinker able to work through issues and escalate when appropriate.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Windows at an intermediate to advance level.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, judgment, and discretion in working with sensitive information.
