Job description

Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an opening for a Compliance analyst in our Lehi, UT office.

Compliance Analyst is a critical member of our compliance team and is responsible for:

  • Reconciliation of premium and taxes between management system and reporting system to ensure accuracy.
  • Preparation of premium tax reports.
  • Review premium contracts for accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
  • Responsible for accurate reporting and adhering to all reporting deadlines.
  • Processing tax payments as needed to state insurance departments and recording payments through management system.
  • Communicating with internal staff and state agencies to ensure compliance of contracts and reports.
  • Provides backup and assistance to complete other accounting tasks as needed.
Location:
  • Lehi, Utah. This is an in office position.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent Accounting experience.
  • Tax filing experience preferred but not required.
