Extrusion Machine Operator - 2nd shift
Monday - Friday 215pm - 1045pm (30 min. meal break)
This person will operate the production extrusion line, need motivated, determined employees. Compensation depends on shift working.
What we’re looking for:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Extruder Operator. As our Extruder Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the extrusion machine and overseeing the melting of hot compounds over the cable. There are 4-6 types of equipment related to the extrusion operation and the operator must watch when the machine is in full operation. You are also responsible for loading the hopper with the appropriate compound, preparing, and set-up the extrusion machine, selecting the correct tooling, calculating the diameter, set-up the correct temperature for a perfect finish. You will also need to clean the machine barrel, head, and tools, prior to starting a new job, or a new type of compound.

Criteria for Success:
- Read/Write English.
- Math skills and use of a calculator
- Ability to read/understand detailed work instructions.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma
• Experience with Machine operations / plastic extrusion a plus
• Excellent attention to detail
• Communicate clearly, Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Forklift experience a plus
• Foster a team spirit attitude
