The project

TECKpert seeks to hire a Sr. IDMS Database Administrator to support our client, a government agency based in Miami Dade County, FL. This is a full-time, hybrid position

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Senior level knowledge of CA-IDMS Database Administration (data administration includes installing and upgrading dbms software; database security, backup and recovery, database performance monitoring and tuning, resizing and restructuring database, SYSGEN)
• Senior level knowledge of CA-IDMS application methods and tools is required (application development includes JCL, TSO/SPF, COBOL, IBM utilities, ADSO, DMLO, IDMS database navigation using CALC, VIA records and indexes)
• Experience of CA-IDMS database restructures and resizes from the application development side
• Knowledge and experience in all of the following: RACF, VTAM, RMM, SMP/E, CA-Disk, CICS, SQL, ODBC

Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, 6-month contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $65/hour or $135,200 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful Sr. IDMS Database Administrator possesses or provides the following:

0 Minimum of 10 years of experience in IDMS, including installation, patching, troubleshooting, database installs and restructures, database backup/restore
0 Minimum of 5 years of advanced programming and/or system maintenance and problem determination experience
