Mixing Coordinator (Team Lead) - Second Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm)

The Mixing Coordinator is responsible for supervising employees in a rubber mixing, manufacturing environment. The Mixing Coordinator plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Daily Operations

• Operate machines that require some set up and decision making.
• Will be called upon to train new and existing associates.
• Executes the production plan.
• Performs routine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Performs operations with specific detailed instructions and directions.
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that product specifications are adhered to as related to product quality and packaging requirements.
• Ensure batches are within specification and work with Oven Operator and Lab Tech to troubleshoot.
• Will occasionally operate a forklift for material loading and unloading.
• Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Three (3) plus years of experience working in Mixing Department.
• Familiarity with the different masterbatch formulations and chemical reactions.
• Strictly follow safety protocols for the department.
• Will be required to work with Production & Quality to minimize quality defects help reduce customer complaints.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Manages departmental performance measures including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
• Train others on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure that product specifications are adhered to as related to product quality and packaging requirements.
• Delivering training to associates will be one of the key aspect of this position. Person must have expert level of understanding and experience with equipment in mixing department.
• Have solution driven mindset and drive root cause analysis to proactively reduces quality concern upstream
• Ensures effective employee relations by providing employee coaching and development, making employment decisions, and resolving employee issues through conflict resolution.
• Maintains proper inventory levels.
• Tracks absenteeism and timekeeping and is responsible for managing department priorities.
