Job description

Title: Chem-Mix Operator I
Shift: D- Shift; 5:45AM-6:00PM
  • Only work 3 (36 hours) to 4 (48 Hours) days per week!

Essential Accountabilities:
Responsible for ensuring the production lines are supplied with correct and needed solutions and chemicals while maintaining an organized workspace and completing quality documentation protocol. This is an entry level chem mix position. Successful training plan completion will qualify operator for Level II position.
  • Operate DSI Blender, Educator, Transfer skids, BBU and Fragrance skids to deliver correct quantities based on production schedule and product quality needs.
  • Activate tanks, agitators, pumps and hoses to ensure delivery of finished solutions to production lines in a timely manner both physically and through the system.
  • Understands production schedules to determine chemical and timing for product solutions.
  • Run and read Lab log reports in accordance with Rockline batching sheets per formulation to complete batching records in JDE.
  • Maintain cGMP expectations of cleaning, blending and supporting any related manufacturing process to Chem Mix.
  • Perform and document cleaning and sanitation on all equipment used in the Chemical Mix Area.
  • Data entry of checks and retain tracking along with collection of lab swab samples
  • Document lot numbers, times and quantities of chemicals on batch sheets for traceability.
  • Managing chemical mix area material inventory through physical verification and data in JD Edwards.
  • Measure chemicals, mix various formulations, transfer solution.
  • Understand and follow the Lotion Tote process and policies surrounding Tote: filling, storage, recycling, usage life cycle, tracking and so on.
  • Carry out all work in a safe and efficient manner. Safely operates equipment and machinery.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Rockline's RRITE Values of Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence.
  • Associates have a direct and important role in ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of each associate's essential accountability.
  • Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work, as needed or requested

This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive (A safety-sensitive position is one in which the associate's inability or impaired ability to perform their job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to the associate's safety or the safety of others).
Required Skills:
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing operations, i.e. packer, operator, material handler (some knowledge of Rockline basic information (Work order knowledge, acronyms, etc.)
  • HS/GED
  • Some JDE Knowledge.
  • Microsoft Office Experience
  • cGMP Knowledge
  • Attention to Detail
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Good Organizational Skills
  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision
