Job Description

The Information Security & Observability Analyst will be responsible for supporting 24x7 operations within the Unified Support Security Operations Center (SOC) and Observability functions. The role involves continuous monitoring of security events and system health across IFS customer environments, analyzing alerts from both security and observability platforms, identifying potential threats or service anomalies, and ensuring timely incident triage and response.

  • Responsible for monitoring the IFS customer security state.
  • Analyze real-time events and triage incidents based on the severity of the situation.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing information security gaps, with a focus on cloud environments.
  • Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and support the implementation of recommended mitigations.
  • Proactively monitor alerts for all cloud hosted IFS products and communicate with other resolver groups to rectify them
  • Contribute to the operation (Observability) coverage of 24x7x365
  • Identify and categorize prioritized incoming events or alerts for IFS products via Observability stack
  • Generate regular reports on the organization’s security posture and incident trends.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of operational documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Any other duties as designated by the line manager.

This role supports U.S. federal government cloud environments and is subject to customer security and compliance requirements. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and must be willing and eligible to undergo a background investigation (including a Public Trust or equivalent screening) if required by the customer. Certain assignments may require U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident status, or eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, depending on customer, contractual, or regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Mandatory

A degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or Information Technology with 1 years of experience in security operations or information security role in the industry

  • Value Add
  • Knowledge in SIEM, XDR, cloud security threats, malware protection, and vulnerability management.
  • One or combination of: CEH / ECSA / Security+ or other similar qualifications.
  • Any cloud security specific certification or other qualifications is an added advantage. 
  • Previous experience of one of Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) are a plus.
  • 1 year experience in L1 Support (Event Management/Observability/DevOps/Help Desk) 

Overall Required Competence

  • Knowledge of Information Security and Compliance. 
  • Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and services. 
  • ITSM knowledge will be an added advantage. 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and extremal teams
