What you’ll do
  • Architect, build, and run central observability platforms for the firm.
  • Develop telemetry collection, processing, enrichment, and routing pipelines for logs, metrics, traces, and events.
  • Implement and maintain open‑source telemetry instrumentation standards and deployment patterns.
  • Build scalable ingestion and storage architectures using cloud native technologies.
  • Optimize telemetry cost, performance, retention, and reliability.
  • Participate in incident investigations and drive root‑cause analysis for observability platform issues.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting capabilities, and service level monitoring frameworks.
What’s required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a closely related field.
  • 4 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Proficiency in Python or Rust.
  • Working knowledge of GitHub or other CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience deploying observability solutions to Linux and virtualized environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Comfort building infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing observability platforms such as Datadog and Splunk.
  • Experience with site reliability engineering best practices, including logging, telemetry, and SLA management.
  • Background in data analytics around large data sets.

The annual base salary range for this role is $175,000-$250,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
