Overview
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineering Consultant with strong expertise in cloud data storage and data engineering. In this role, you will consult on and contribute to moderately complex Information Security Engineering initiatives, supporting the design, security, and optimization of large-scale cloud-based data platforms across Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Microsoft Azure, and AWS.
You will collaborate closely with Information Security Engineering teams and client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Consult on and support moderately complex Information Security Engineering initiatives and deliverables
  • Contribute to large-scale planning and implementation of security engineering solutions
  • Analyze Information Security Engineering challenges requiring evaluation of multiple variables
  • Support resolution of technical and security issues in alignment with policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Serve as a Cloud Data Storage and Data Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Design and support secure, scalable, high-performance cloud data platforms
  • Provide guidance on:
    • Data lakes and data warehouses
    • Hybrid cloud architectures
    • Data modeling and schema design
    • Data governance and security best practices
  • Optimize data structures for analytics, reporting, and application performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders using strong verbal and written communication skills
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or related disciplines
  • Experience may be demonstrated through:
    • Professional work or consulting experience
    • Military service
    • Training or formal education
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with cloud data storage and data engineering across:
    • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Strong understanding of security principles, compliance requirements, and cloud architectures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Application Management experience
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation and presentations (PowerPoint)
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
