Description:
Senior Information Security Analyst - Data Scanning & Risk Governance
Location: Charlotte, NC (Preferred: Brevard or CIC) or Chandler, AZ
Employment Type: Contingent (Conversion Eligible)
About the Role
As a Senior Information Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in advancing enterprise data protection by supporting the implementation and optimization of a data scanning platform (Securiti.ai). You will partner with engineering, data owners, and governance teams to configure scans, validate results, and translate findings into actionable risk mitigation strategies.
This role sits within Cybersecurity and focuses on data discovery, risk identification, and governance execution to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
What You'll Do
Data Scanning & Analysis
  • Configure, execute, and monitor data discovery and classification scans
  • Analyze scan outputs to identify risks, false positives/negatives, and data exposures
  • Validate results in partnership with data platform and application owners
Risk Governance & Reporting
  • Perform recurring governance routines (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
  • Align scan findings with policy and compliance requirements
  • Produce executive-ready reports highlighting key risks and trends
  • Support escalation and remediation tracking processes
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with Information Protection Engineering to improve scanning capabilities
  • Engage with data and application owners to communicate findings and drive remediation
  • Respond to inquiries via Jira and email with research-backed insights
Tool Optimization & Automation
  • Continuously tune scanning tools to improve accuracy and coverage
  • Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Design and maintain automated workflows for data ingestion and processing
Program Support & Operations
  • Capture business and system requirements for enhancements
  • Document processes, workflows, and audit-ready artifacts
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional meetings
AI & Data Ethics
  • Use AI tools to enhance research, analysis, and reporting productivity
  • Ensure responsible and compliant use of AI in line with data governance standards
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Security, Risk, or Data Analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
  • 2+ years working with data security, discovery, or scanning tools (e.g., Securiti.ai)
  • Experience working with large-scale data environments (preferably in financial services)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of data classification, discovery, and security principles
  • Experience with workflow and visualization tools (Jira, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of data processing and ETL concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience with AI-assisted tools and data ethics practices
  • Strong documentation and process design skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence cross-functional stakeholders
