Description

PURPOSE/OVERVIEW:

As a Mid-Level Development Officer, your purpose is to increase donation revenue for Resonate
Global Mission by initiating, developing, and sustaining positive and mutually beneficial
relationships with a designated group of assigned Mid-Level Donors

This position offers a flexible work schedule, an attractive benefits package (including retirement fund contribution), and three weeks of vacation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SCOPE and TARGETS
  1. Build relationships with assigned donors for the purpose of fundraising
  2. Identify, cultivate donors and nurture relationships in an effort to to increase giving from Mid-Level to Major.
  3. Re-populate the mid-level Donor profile through the identification of new donors through the Marketing and communications mass donor strategies.
  4. Ensure all donors on your file receive enhanced and more personalized offers and supportive communications


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and ACTIVITIES:
  1. Plan and implement a meaningful connections plan to achieve annual cultivation, stewardship and solicitation goals that lead to increased revenue.
  2. Focus on securing support for the identified priorities of Resonate Global Mission.
  3. Reach targeted monthly, quarterly, and annual cultivation, solicitation, and revenue goals
  4. Manage account list of all donors and execute communication strategy for donor engagement ensuring strategic contact plans are in place and implemented for top-tier donors
  5. Call and email donors for special projects (event invites, securing updated information, pledge follow up, etc.)
  6. Implement an outbound communication plan for donors, ensuring an appropriate number of planned communications per day/week/month to reach target goals
  7. Understand, assess, and track donors
    1. Research individual donor type, history, including donation potential and relevant social/demographic information to develop a comprehensive donor profile
    2. Maintain regular and accurate donor communication and revenue reporting in Donor Management System
    3. Collaborate with Mass and Major Donor programs on donor migration
    4. Identify potential Major Donors and planned gift prospects to the organization
  8. Learn about our work in depth, and actively stay abreast of program activity in relation to donor interests in order to provide relevant and meaningful information or arrange referrals/appointments with program experts where required
  9. Collaborate with team members to identify and refine best practices that elevate performance
  10. Represent Resonate Global Mission and its core values, in all forms of communication
  11. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Able to support the mission vision and values of the CRCNA.

  5. Skillful communicator, demonstrated ability to establish connections over the phone and via email while cultivating 'slow to develop' relationships.

  7. Self-starter with the ability to work independently, set own daily agenda of planned communication and activity.
  8. Strong writing, time management, planning, and organizational skills, with an emphasis on detail and accuracy
  9. High level of personal and professional integrity, including the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding donor profiles and personal information
  10. Demonstrated proficiency in commonly used computer applications (Google Suite), internet research and constituent relationship management tools.


  1. An undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required
  2. Demonstrated experience in an advancement, fundraising, or donor engagement capacity is required


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively and convincingly both verbally and in writing.

This position will be based in an office in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
