EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Basic Purpose: The Executive Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in our Residential Program, ensuring the achievement of the organizations mission, goals, and objectives. You will oversee all aspects of Program operations, including finance, administration, program management, and community engagement. The Executive Director will involve fostering a positive organizational culture, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and representing the organization externally.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the organizations mission, core values, and vision. Provide visionary leadership to guide the Program through growth and change. Establish leadership, quality assurance, ethics, incident management, and other operating committees.
Program Management: Direct and supervise program activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Monitor program outcomes and make adjustments as necessary to enhance effectiveness and impact. Oversee the admission discharge, safety, and protection of individuals. Maintain Programs compliance with Pennsylvania Codes 6400 and 6100. Assure Office of Developmental Programs waiver compliance.
Staff Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and direction to staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Promote professional growth and development opportunities for staff to enhance performance and job satisfaction. Implement policies and procedures.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and other relevant organizations. Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and meetings to promote awareness and support its mission.
Advocacy and Public Relations: Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, advocating for its mission and priorities to the public, media and government officials. Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance the organizations visibility and reputation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
o A masters degree or above from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience in administration or the human services field
o A bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college or university and 4 years of experience in administration or the human services field.
o Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or Autism
o Clear understanding of the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the Office of Developmental Programs compliance.
o Clear understanding of maintaining compliance with Pennsylvania Code Chapters 6100 and 6400.
Preferred:
o Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
o Strategic-thinker with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions.
o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Salary: $40,000-$50,000 per year
