Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support projects with industrial, commercial and pharmaceutical clients. A hybrid work schedule out of the Nashville office is preferred, however exceptional remote candidates will be considered. This is a direct hire position with world class benefits offered. 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Design and develop HVAC systems for industrial and commercial buildings, including hybrid systems that incorporate renewable energy sources.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that HVAC systems are integrated seamlessly into building designs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and energy audits to determine the most efficient and cost-effective HVAC solutions.
  • Prepare detailed specifications, drawings, and calculations for HVAC systems.
  • Perform load calculations and select appropriate equipment for HVAC systems.
  • Ensure that HVAC systems comply with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of HVAC systems.
  • Provide technical support to contractors and other stakeholders during the construction process.
  • Conduct site visits to assess the performance of HVAC systems and identify opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification, or EIT preferred
  • Provide engineering and 3D Revit support for multiple projects that include HVAC, piping, plumbing and fire protection.
  • Perform HVAC load calculations, ductwork static pressure calculations, and pump head calculations.
  • Proficiency in Revit, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, AutoCAD, plumbing, and commercial construction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems and renewable energy sources.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Willingness to travel to construction sites as required.
