The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of a project from impact assessment through to implementation. This position is responsible for applying appropriate knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to manage medium to large projects. Project activities include, but are not limited to, establishing clear and achievable objectives, planning, and directing people to reach objectives while balancing competing demands for quality, scope, time, and cost, and adapting to different concerns and expectations of stakeholders. A professional project manager should be able to manage a project without extensive knowledge of the subject matter. This position is responsible for mentoring others and contributing to continual improvement of project management knowledge and skill in the organization.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support the Workday implementation. This position will be responsible for ensuring all data migration efforts are planned, tracked and successfully completed.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes strong project management skills.
  • Identifies project stakeholders and manages communication with the project stakeholders.
  • Follows project standards for issue management, risk management, and timely delivery of initiative results.
  • Direct resources on assigned project tasks and ensure clarity of project roles and responsibilities.
  • Provides regular updates on assigned data efforts to the Prism Project Manager
  • Manages data quality through activities such as conducting appropriate reviews, obtaining approvals, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensures that project documentation is complete and current.
  • Data Migration Project Management
  • Understand and guide the entire implementation. Manage the overall plan for the data track of work.
  • Work closely with and align to the project schedule
  • Ensure alignments and progress against tenant and data migration milestones set by the PRISM Project
  • Works with agency partners and data owners to ensure data validations occur on schedule and data cleansing is maintained
  • Provides day-to-day management of Project Data expectations.
  • Identifies and monitors the mitigation of risks to the scope, schedule, and budget for the data track of work.
  • Data Warehouse Project Management
  • Through thorough understanding of business data reporting and analytics needs, guide the implementation of Prism data to the Data Warehouse and OACS. Manage the overall plan for the data warehouse track of work.
  • Work closely with and align to the project schedule
  • Ensure alignments and progress against data warehouse development and load migration milestones set by the PRISM Project
  • Works with the Enterprise Data Services team and the Prism Reporting workstream resources to ensure data mapping and loads occur on schedule
  • Provides day-to-day management of Project Data Warehouse expectations
  • Identifies and monitors the mitigation of risks to the scope, schedule, and budget for the data warehouse track of work.
  • Working with EDS resources
  • Define and plan work needed to buildout warehouse structures needed to support Prism data
  • Plan and monitor the effort to develop criteria that supports decision-making for reports available from the Data Warehouse vs. Workday directly
  • Identify, confirm, and plan the development of Data Warehouse "MVP" scope
  • Monitor and manage the development of MVP scope

Skills Needed

  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Advanced Communication
  • Data ETL processes
  • Prior Experience managing large Data Validation, Data Warehouse, and Data Visualization projects
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • IT experience with State Governments a plus.
  • Work under the guidance of the APEX Team Manager and Supervisor.
  • Help management develop APEX Roadmap and Strategy.
  • Contribute to the development and establishement of the APEX Operating Model.
  • Assess APEX methodologies, practices, and activities and advise APEX Team on how they can be improved.
  • Evaluate business functions, analyze business requirements, and assess feasibility, impact, and/or implications of using APEX.
  • Guide development of APEX designs that are scalable and meet business requirements.
  • Help the APEX team to establish a robust APEX Security Model, including integration with Active Directory for authentication and authorization.
  • Assist APEX developers with building of shared components.
  • Develop custom APEX applications.
  • Prepare documentation associated with the development and implementation of new APEX applications.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and post-implementation reviews.
  • Collaborate and/or share knowledge with other staff in troubleshooting tasks.
  • Keep management, APEX Team, and stakeholders fully informed on the status of work.
  • Follow APEX industry best practices throughout the process.
  • Hold Knowledge Transfer sessions with Staff.

Skills Needed

  • 60 Months of Experience with using Oracle APEX software, with experience in Oracle APEX 17.x-21.x and Oracle Database 11g-21c.
  • 60 Months of Experience with Oracle APEX security, authentication, and authorization schemes.
  • 60 Months of Experience with Oracle APEX analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of forms, interactive reports, interactive grids, collections, graphs, dashboards, and generating reports.
  • 48 Months of Experience with JavaScript, JSON, Web Services, XML, HTML, and UI/UX.
  • 60 Months of Experience with designing, developing, testing, and documenting new applications and supporting/enhancing existing applications on the Oracle APEX platform.
  • 60 Months of Experience with creation of dynamic reports in Oracle APEX environment using reporting tools (e.g. BI Publisher).
  • 60 Months of Experience with SQL and query performance tuning.
  • 60 Months of Experience with PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages), cursors, triggers, collections, transactional modeling, database normalization, indexing methods, constraints, performance tuning, security, auditing, metadata management.
  • 12 Months of Experience with migration of legacy applications to Oracle APEX.
