Gehman Design Remodeling is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Remodeling Estimator, or as we like to call it, a Project Developer. If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys collaborating with a team, and possesses a keen eye for design and construction, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities of our Remodeling Estimator:- Collaborate with Remodeling Consultants: Work closely with our Remodeling Consultants to develop plans, specifications, estimates, and contracts for our clients' projects.
- CAD Drawings and Design Review: Utilize your architectural and interior design skills to create as-built and proposed CAD drawings, participate in design review meetings with clients and consultants, and refine drawings until client approval is achieved.
- Estimating and Contracting: Complete detailed estimates, specifications, and contracts based on approved plans, obtain quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, and utilize estimating software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Additional Work Orders: Be available on short notice to handle additional work orders as projects require, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Continually upgrade your skills and knowledge of design, products, and construction procedures to better serve our clients and contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Client Satisfaction: Your ability to accurately interpret client needs and translate them into comprehensive plans and contracts that exceed their expectations.
- Efficiency and Accuracy: Your proficiency in completing estimates, specifications, and contracts in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient using Microsoft Office 365 Word, Excel, and Chief Architect, as well as estimating software.
- Industry Experience: Must have architectural and interior design skills with a good understanding of all construction trades as they relate to residential remodeling.
- Travel: Must have own personal vehicle and be willing to use it for traveling to client locations (mileage reimbursed). Must also be willing to occasionally travel long-distance for seminars, trade shows, etc. (reimbursed).
- Annual salary of $60,000 to $70,000 depending on experience

- Paid Time Off (starting at 1 week of PTO after 1 year of employment)
- Compensation for Service Projects: Company pays normal wage for ½ of the time off an employee uses for pre-approved community service, mission trips, etc. up to 1 week per year.
- Education Assistance: Company will contribute towards continued education and training to develop professional and technical knowledge and skills.
