Job Description

Berkley Hospice, a boutique hospice organization, is excited to announce an opening for our rapidly growing team. We are excited to open a second position of an Assistant Director of Nursing for an experienced clinical leader to come to grow with us and our team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the current DON and the ADON team in providing overall planning, direction, coordination, management, and supervision of all nursing and professional services in conjunction with the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing.

Responsible for the clinical performance of nursing in all areas to facilitate effective, efficient patient care. Assures quality care by reviewing and assessing each service. Maintains appropriate quality control programs. Maintains performance improvement activities within the organization and participates in QAPI activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Colorado.

- 1-2 years of nursing leadership experience in a hospice organization.

- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the functions of a hospice organization.

- Ability to plan, coordinate, direct, and control the health services of a hospice.

- Competency in general nursing theory, techniques, and practice.

- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Reports directly to the Director of Nursing (DON)

Clinical leadership background preferred, but willing to develop the right candidate.
