As a District Life Insurance and Financial Specialist, you will build your own market and book of business as a Life and Financial Agent as well support our existing agency owners and team members as they quote, underwrite and issue life insurance policies. You act with speed, composure, compassion and knowledge to solve problems. The work you do every day is the heart of our business.
The District Life Insurance Specialist will be responsible for enhancing our agents competitive position and to increase sales production through effective communication of product knowledge, illustration support, and resolution of agent problems. This position will provide field support by serving as a direct liaison with our agents.
The DLFS will also meet sales goals through their own prospecting efforts as well as partnering with agency owners and agency team members across the district to drive further life insurance penetration across the 45,000+ policyholders we serve.
The DLFS position pays a base salary + commission! For self-generated business (from DLFS own prospecting efforts) they earn 100% commissions available on the Farmers commission structure, and also participate in a rich commission sharing program for the business that is cross-sold and up-sold through existing Farmers clients.

- Serve as a foundational pillar for our agents by assisting with quotes, underwriting, and policy issuance, exemplifying speed, poise, and heart in every interaction.
- Elevate our agents' market standing by boosting their sales prowess through stellar communication, robust product knowledge, and strategic illustration support.
- Hit quarterly Life Insurance sales goals
- Drive results for District to meet annual premium and count goals
- Drive agency engagement in life insurance
- Act as the primary support and liaison, ensuring agents feel fully supported both in the field and within the wider company network.
- Proactively engage in inbound and outbound communications, with a laser focus on cultivating relationships, driving sales excellence, and securing quality retention.
- Exemplify and inspire a culture of ambition, meeting and surpassing established goals and benchmarks for performance and compliance.
- Rapidly establish trust and professional camaraderie with agents, colleagues, and external partners to meet collective sales objectives.
- Offer responsive, comprehensive support to marketing queries and maintain a resourceful stance to aid agents and their clientele.
Requirements
- Life and Health Agent License required
- Customer facing life insurance sales experience required
- Series 6 and 63 certifications being highly desirable.
- Proven prowess in sales, with the ability to articulate product value and navigate complex sales conversations.
- Exceptional communication aptitude, characterized by clear, persuasive verbal and written skills.
- Adept at analytical thinking, capable of translating data insights into strategic actions.
- Quick learner, eager to assimilate new skills and adapt to evolving industry landscapes.
- Outstanding organizational skills, with a knack for juggling multiple priorities effortlessly.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or related fields is advantageous.
- Previous exposure to call center or sales environments will be valued.
