Senior Accountant

AEM is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant. This role provides accounting, administrative, and support services working closely with internal business partners and external customers. The position will focus highly on financial statement analysis, deferred revenue, and account reconciliations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manages balance sheet reconciliations and schedules for assigned accounts, including but not limited to deferred revenue, trade receivables, and intercompany transactions
• Post and reconcile intercompany transactions for multiple subsidiaries
• Invoice multiple subsidiaries on a weekly or monthly basis with collections to follow
• License verification for proprietary software (Contrail/AEM Elements 360) verified against invoicing
• Sales and use tax filings, annual reports, business license renewals
• Assists with month end close, verifying revenue, posting journal entries, and analyzing assigned accounts against budget
• Post ACH, wire, and check deposits into ERP system (NetSuite)
• Performs ad-hoc data queries/analysis as requested
• Assist with annual audit

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• At least four years’ experience in general ledger, software, and/or project-based accounting preferred
• Multiple years Intercompany experience
• NetSuite and Advanced Excel experience
• Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively to identify problems, recommend solutions, and execute on business strategies
• Understanding of US GAAP

Additional Information:

· This is a hybrid opportunity that will be performed near Germantown, MD.

· Must be eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

US Compensation Range: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $60,000-$90,000 per year/hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AEM considers a wide range of factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, licensure and certifications, key skills as well as other market and business considerations when extending an offer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
