The site is located on Bushy Park Road in Goose Creek, South Carolina. CRP provides industrial services, such as steam water compressed air, rail services, security, and emergency response to the nine tenant companies on site. Job Overview:

Provides instrumentation and electrical engineering support to maintain and improve instrument, electrical, and control infrastructure at the Bushy Park industrial site, which is a 24/7/365 facility.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Facilitates, maintains, and improves quality, environmental, health, and safety performance. Identifies and adheres to applicable regulations and minimizes hazards with improved safety practices.
  • Functions as the site subject matter expert (SME) for electrical safety and work quality.
  • Works with the Maintenance Managers to manage and improve workflows, instructions, and maintenance productivity, including developing standard operating procedures.
  • Strategizes and oversees the installation, commission, and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Creates and supports preventative, predictive, and precision maintenance policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Analyzes breakdowns, diagnoses failures, and supervises time critical repairs.
  • Works on project development teams and manages equipment, defines project objectives, ensures technical feasibility and extending life cycles, and monitors the performance and progress of projects.
  • Estimates and manages costs associated with equipment, systems, and structures, including repairs or replacements.
  • Works with internal resources and third-party vendors to execute projects.
  • Reviews drawings for new equipment installation and verifies what is necessary for ongoing maintenance to ensure optimum output and efficiency.
  • Provides technical guidance to maintenance staff as needed.
  • Updates plant drawings and documentation using CAD software.
  • Performs Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and determines corrective and preventative actions for equipment failures.
  • Documents and updates standard operating procedures (SOP) and standard maintenance procedures (SMP) for plant operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Specific Skills:

  • Proficient in engineering and managing projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in Industrial Electrical Reliability.
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
  • Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably with maintenance engineering.

Certifications & Licenses: Valid driver’s license

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities: N/A

Physical Requirements: Possess close visual acuity to perform activities such as prepare and analyze data, transcribe; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small objects; operate machinery such as drill presses and power saws; ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear, and exert up to 20lbs of force occasionally and 10lbs frequently.

Working Conditions: Subject to activities inside and outside; noise levels where one may need to shout to be heard, vibration, hazards such as moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working in high places; subject to one or more atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with the option of four 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday after initial training period.

Pay: Base pay plus annual bonus
