Inside Sales Representative

SUMMARY:
Cancos Tile & Stone NYC is a flagship showroom recently redesigned and renovated to cater to upscale trade and residential customers. A Showroom Sales Representative will be responsible for assisting all in person traffic As-well as digital or phone inquiries. This position is expected to promote and sell all product categories offered such as tile, stone, custom fabrication setting materials, vanities, etc.

Cancos Tile New York City branch is a fast-paced environment which services a demanding, high end customer base. This person must be comfortable in this environment and able to develop strong lasting relationships with trade professionals such as Architects, Designers, Builders, and Homeowners. Maintaining and developing new relationships will lead to the success of this position.

This position reports directly to the NYC Showrooms Manager.

Sales related Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent upscale customers service by assisting customers with product selection
• Supply accurate information throughout the sale process
• Collect deposits for orders prior to shipping within company policy
• Assist in the sales process from point of sale through delivery
• Responsible for maintaining and developing your own book of business
• Ensure every customer is greeted in a helpful and courteous manner
• Directly assist customers with product questions, selection, and follow-up.
• Sales targets and expectations will be provided.
• Manage your open order report proactively and review orders for accuracy.
• Periodically reach out to existing contacts to maintain engagement with trade clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a spotless showroom of the highest caliber at all times. Periodic cleanliness assessments will occur.
• Collaborates with sales manager to set reasonable sales and/or retail goals.

• Preform duties of others if they are not present to continue normal branch operations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Ensure that the showroom experience is upscale and positive:
  • All potential customers should be greeted and welcomed with a smile
  • Customers should be offered water, or coffee.
  • Phones should always be answered, and call always returned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree and equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least three years of experience in retail sales

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
