Role Description The Product and Installation Specialist, Natural Stone Tile is a full-time position with the possibility of a hybrid role focused on supporting dealers, sales representatives, and end customers with product and technical expertise. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising on the selection and application of natural stone tile products, providing guidance on installation best practices, troubleshooting product or installation issues, and answering technical questions related to stone characteristics and performance. The specialist will collaborate closely with sales and customer service teams to prepare product recommendations, review design concepts, and ensure accurate information is shared through concept boards and marketing materials. Additional duties include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new stone offerings, documenting installation standards and FAQs, and contributing feedback to improve product lines and dealer support tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience with natural stone tile, understanding of stone properties, finishes, and appropriate applications.
  • Familiarity with tile installation methods, substrates, adhesives, grouts, sealers, and maintenance practices; ability to interpret installation guidelines and provide practical recommendations.
  • Deliver, monitor, coach and guide technical and non-technical training for staff.
  • Maintain installation guide to be used via website and sales staff.
  • Strong customer service orientation, ability to communicate clearly with dealers, designers, contractors, and end customers; skilled in explaining technical concepts in accessible language.
  • Help identify and develop substitute selling courses with customer service.
  • Create product lists of substitute selling material.
  • Define and discuss porcelain terminology comparing industry standard to current and potential material.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, including preparing product guides, installation notes, and responses to technical inquiries; attention to detail in documentation. Create blogs for educating customers via website.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams across different locations.
  • Experience in tile, stone, flooring, or building materials industry; comfort using basic office software, CRM systems, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Prior experience in product support, technical sales, installation supervision, or similar roles in the tile/stone or construction sector; relevant certifications in tile or stone installation are a plus.
