Manufacturing Data Specialist

The Manufacturing Data Specialist is focused on the integrity of ERP Product data, including creating, entering, maintaining and improving the accuracy of our ERP master data. This includes validating bill of materials, product/item templates, production routings, schedules, reports, and assuring information is properly reflected within the ERP. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and works cross functionally with Engineering, Sales, Production and Quality.

Scope of Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of ERP product data (Item Masters, BOM’s, Product Configurations, Production Routings) and ensure the accuracy of all changes
• Project management of all ERP and MES system changes in the organization
• Create and generate reports (including, but not limited to) material usage, material yield, production cycle time and inventory control metrics
• Participate in the change order process and new product introduction, taking responsibility for ERP related activities
• Ensure production cycle time is maintained in item maintenance to ensure proper labor is accounted for during the production process
• Assist in proper integration between the ERP and MES software (Visual Factory)
• Continuously assess product data through usage of exception reports to ensure ERP data quality and integrity – root causing any issues and communicating with all relevant departments
• Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors
• Provide input and guidance to the other departments on the most efficient ways to maintain data in the ERP system
• Lead projects to set up, monitor, and guide material flow
• Investigate Kanban inventory discrepancies (physical vs. system/daily)
• Other duties as required, including but not limited to purchase order generation

Experience\Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Analytics or similar 

Required Skills/Abilities

• Fluent in English.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAGE preferred)
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts such as 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping
• Excellent communication skills with front-line workers and with peers
• Strong project management/organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements set forth by the company

Physical Requirements

·         Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

·         Requirement to stand and walk with the use of hands and arms to reach various objects.

General Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
• Must be “US Person” per ITAR definition.
