Coffee Programs Facilitator

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about coffee with a drive to continuously learn, grow, teach, and train both customers and our internal staff. This position calls for a confident individual who can adapt to a high paced business culture while displaying patience and professionalism. This candidate contributes strengths in communication, collaboration, multitasking, troubleshooting, and time management while upholding the goals and vision of Fortuna and the coffee program.

Job Summary

The Coffee Programs Facilitator will collaborate with the Director of Coffee Programs in facilitating and managing the Fortuna Coffee activities and vision including but not limited to the following:

• Training clients and staff to stay current with information, practices, and trends.
• Lead coffee tastings with clients, guests, and staff.
• Product testing for current and new items.
• Recipe development with products available through Fortuna.
• Coordinate with marketing during photo and video shoots for social media engagement and educational content.
• Contributing content for monthly newsletters and other marketing platforms
• Upkeep of the front coffee bar and training room areas.
• Effective problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Confident communications skills with colleagues, guests, and customers.
• A positive model for customer service, who is approachable, and professional.
• The ability to manage distant and close-range projects and goals.
• Time management and flexibility in a variable paced work environment.

Requirements

This candidate will serve as a bridge between both wholesale and retail aspects of Fortuna. An individual who displays confidence in communicating and presenting to both customers and peers is imperative. Barista and cafe management experience is preferred but not required for a motivated candidate who is eager to learn and passionate about coffee. As a Coffee Programs Facilitator, you will be responsible for leading training both internally and externally, workshops in the Fortuna training center, participating in weekly coffee tasting for coffee quality control, and other activities presenting educational opportunities. As a Coffee Programs Facilitator you will coordinate with Fortuna leadership, the Director of Coffee Programs, Head Roaster, and other departments within the company.
