Director Agriculture Division
- $154,500 to $210,000 Yearly

Responsibilities will include:
- Primary relationship owner between Ag manufacturers and Butler Machinery to develop strategy on market penetration.
- Serves as the agriculture specialist in machinery knowledge and farming processes and trends.
- Analyzes agricultural economy and trends to forecast machinery requirements and pricing.
- Develops annual goals and strategies to gain market share.
- Strategizes with Used Ag Equipment Manager on ways to turn inventory and continually expedite our appraisal methods.
- Works closely with New Machine Inventory on Ag related inventory decisions.
- Keeps abreast of competitor pricing, machine capabilities and business trends.
- Manages new Ag product introductions and handles communications to all parties involved.
- Participates in Ag related acquisitions.
- Plans periodic Ag Sales meetings. Works closely with the regional management and Ag sales team to keep them educated on market trends.
- Works closely with Marketing to best maximize dollars spent to influence customer purchases.
- Participates in major trade shows. Represents BMC and Butler Ag in media and trade publication interviews in the agriculture sector.
- Works closely with the Ag GPS Technology Department.
- Conducts informational meetings regarding market analysis results, competitor strategies and customer equipment needs.
- Serves as a member of our executive team helping set strategy and vision for the company.
- This position reports directly to the president at Butler Machinery.
- Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVIOSRY DUTIES
- Oversees Used Ag Inventory Department and the Ag Program Managers.
- Handles all performance reviews, compensation, and employee relation items with staff.
- Organizes, communicates, and delegates responsibilities and priorities to subordinates to ensure the successful operation of the department.
- Provides regular and timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivating employees and promoting self-development.
- Communicates with and coaches employees on assignments, providing technical expertise as needed.
- Selects, trains, and develops employees consistent with department/division goals, providing coaching on career development.
Qualifications include:
- Must have 10+ years of Ag Industry experience. Bachelor's degree in Business or industry related field preferred with management experience required or equivalent experience, training, and background.
- Must know the intricacies of the farming industry and agricultural machinery requirements.
- Previous branch management experience or experience with manufactures preferred.
- Proven track record of implementing strategy and working through indirect reports.
- Strong ability to think strategically.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Accounting and Finance skills.
- Negotiating skills.
- Ability to coach, counsel, and confront.
- Good computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Must have strong communication (both verbal and written) and project management skills.
Pay $154,500.00 - $210,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
