Job Description:

Vendor Coordination

Collaborate with equipment suppliers and service providers to procure necessary supplies, parts, and services for the restaurant.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of services.
Manage relationships with vendors and address any issues or concerns that may arise.

Restaurant Equipment Management:

Oversee the procurement, installation, and management of all restaurant equipment.
Develop maintenance schedules to ensure optimal functionality and longevity of equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.

Facilities Maintenance:

Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all restaurant facilities and equipment.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and repair costs.
Address facility maintenance issues promptly to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Hands-On Problem-Solving:

Utilize mechanical abilities to perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including cleaning coils and inspecting equipment condition.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and develop solutions to minimize disruption to restaurant operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Team Management and Training:

Supervise a team of technicians responsible for equipment maintenance and repairs.
Provide training and guidance to staff on proper equipment handling and maintenance procedures.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

Develop and manage the equipment maintenance budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing spending.
Conduct cost analysis to ensure efficient use of resources.

Emergency Response and Crisis Management:

Respond promptly to urgent equipment repair needs to minimize disruption to restaurant operations.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective response to crisis situations.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Proven experience in restaurant management with a focus on vendor coordination and maintenance.
Strong technical knowledge of restaurant equipment and maintenance procedures.

Skills:

Excellent problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the restaurant industry.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in equipment maintenance and repair are advantageous.
Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repairs.
