Kane Partners, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is searching for a Process Controls Technician for one of the country’s largest providers of value-added pet food ingredients.

The ideal candidate is experienced with a range of duties relating to PLC controls systems – including programming and maintenance. They will also handle installs, troubleshooting and repair of facility systems and equipment.
- Responsible for providing daily support of plant maintenance activities by - implementing solutions to solve operational problems on equipment that has been escalated to them from other maintenance support functions; supporting Focused Improvement initiatives; and managing other projects supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Responsible for the design, integration, programming, and troubleshooting of Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), Process Automation Controllers (PAC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Servo Systems, Robotics, and Industrial Networks for systems to support productivity and/or quality improvements for process and production equipment
- Experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000
- Understands how to install, set up networking and device communication, add/delete and edit programs
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair PC related issues down to the component level
- Checks, cleans, calibrates and otherwise maintains equipment relating to process control systems as well as all additional facility equipment
- Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance
- The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and controls engineering fundamentals, and has the ability to be creative with recommending solutions to the engineering team
- You will also be asked to handle basic IT Support around the facility – prior desktop knowledge/experience is good to have but not necessary – but you should have experience working with routers and IP addresses for connectivity
